A great day showing today at Parti - Coloured Cocker Spaniel Club today. All four of our dogs Sid, Poppy, Lacey and Ribbon were placed 1st in their classes! Chelsea was a proud owner and breeder after her two chocolate roans, took two top spots! Lawnswae Ribbon was Best Bitch and Reserve Best In Show and Lacey, Ribbons daughter was Best Puppy in Show! Many Thanks to breed specialist Tim Harrison for a lovely day.

Thanks to Tina Beswick for taking the above photo as we had left our camera at home.

We had a nice day at Midland Cocker Open Show today...All of the dogs were placed, Lacey and Sid were first in their classes and Poppy was also placed.

Best part of the day though was the Puppy walk...What a proud mom I was to see four Quintavia puppies form our last litter showing themselves off so well.

Here are Quintavia Rock Star

and Quintavia Rock N Rose

and Quintavia Quintavia Rock Chick

Not much news to report as we have had a break from showing for the couple of weeks... We have a few shows over the coming weeks as well as Chelsea's 18th Birthday, where does the time go? and I am looking forward to a forthcoming judging appointment.

Chelsea has finally found the time to update her web page "Chelsea' Page". Not easy for her to find time to do so when she has a full time job, a busy social life and all the help she gives me with the dogs. On top of this she still has to prepare her dogs for show as well as hand strip my show dogs and bath them as my tennis elbow won't hold up to much hand stripping now.

I am sure you all must be fed up of me saying how proud I am of Chelsea, but reading her words on her page brings home how much my lovely daughter has achieved with our dogs.....

Chelsea started showing when she was five or six years old and could barely reach the grooming table, following on from Adam my son who only showed for a year or two, much preferring foot ball training to dog showing! Chelsea has persevered with dog showing, handling most of the dogs in our small kennel at some point at championship shows, open shows and Crufts.

Ribbon was the first dog registered in Chelsea's name and solely handled to great success at all levels including 3rd place at Crufts and gaining a stud book number at the Cocker Spaniel Club Championship Show.

Ribbon produced Quintavia Lacey, who is Chelsea's very own first home bred puppy and they have both had a fantastic time in the show ring.

YES I am a proud mom! I love all three of my children...and I am very proud of them all!

02/11/08

Another good day for Chelsea and Lacey today at Coventry (Foleshill ) open show today. Lacey was 1st in her class, Best Puppy In Breed, Best of Breed and puppy group 3! Expertly handled as always by Chelsea.

13/10/08

A busy but successful weekend for the show team... On Saturday we were at Walsall and District Canine Society Open Show and we had a good day! Chelsea's pup Quintavia Lacey was placed 2nd in the puppy class, Quintavia Stars In Her Eyes was 1st in her class and Reserve Best Of Breed! Quintavia Star Stopper was also 1st in his class, Best Of Breed, 1st in the gundog group then later went on to take Reserve Best In Show!! beautifully handled as always by Chelsea...Well done love x

I couldn't be any more proud of Chelsea and her sheer hard work and achievement's with our dogs but I was so HAPPY to be approached by a very experienced breeder and exhibitor who complimented me on Chelsea's " Superb, Natural handling abilities " and her genuine love and kindness to all dogs... What more could any mom ask for...

On Sunday we were at Birmingham and District Gundog and Terrier Club Open Show and we had another good day! Quintavia Lacey was 1st in her class, Quintavia Stars In Her Eyes was 1st in her Class, Quintavia Star Stopper was also 1st and Reserve Best Of Breed!

28/09/08

WOW another great day for Chelsea and her pup today at East Anglia Cocker Spaniel Club Open Show! Lacey was 1st in her class, Best Minor Puppy and Best Puppy in Show, her third Best In Show award in three weeks! Add to that Best Puppy and Reserve best of breed at her 2nd show Best Puppy In Breed at Birmingham Champ Show, and a first at Darlington Champ Show then that adds up to a fantastic start to any puppy career and little Lacey is not yet 9 months old!.... Keep up the good work Chel x

Many Thanks to the judge Karleen Bennett who is over from Australia it's always good to have a fresh pair of eyes to judge occasionally, and to the committee for the prize money, bottle of champagne, 15kg of dog food and the most beautiful rosettes.

Well Done to Mick Bond with Peter Pan who was BIS, a good day for the Midlanders!

21/09/08

Another great showing day today at Lancashire Cocker Spaniel Club Open Show. Quintavia Lacey was awarded Best Puppy In Show! her second BPIS award at only 8 1/2 months! WELL DONE Lacey and Chelsea. The applause and congratulations Chelsea received after being awarded Best Puppy In Show meant a lot to us. Our children are our future and my dogs are in good hands.

Many Thanks to today's judge Glynnis Goodwin and the committee of Lancashire cocker who always run a good show with some lovely rosettes and trophy's.

19/09/08

My certificates arrived from the Kennel Club today... Poppy is now officially Quintavia Stars In Her Eyes JW ! Poppy is our first dog to be awarded a Junior Warrant and we are very proud of Poppy's achievement. Many Thanks to all judges who have placed Poppy and have appreciated her many fine qualities.

14/09/08

A log drive today for Darlington Championship show. We expected the car park to be muddy when we got there and we were warned that cars were being towed on to the car park.... We were prepared with wellingtons and raincoats but nothing could have prepared us for the mud in the show ground, it was inches deep. The rings weren't much better, very slippy and uneven but it takes more than a bit of mud to put off dog folk!

We had a good day showing but no photo's as there was not a dry bit of ground to be found. Chelsea's puppy Quintavia Lacey was again 1st in her class, Lawnswae Ribbon Lacey's mom was also 1st, Quintavia Stars In Her Eyes JW was 2nd and Sid was placed 5th so we were happy. Many Thanks to the judge George Parker.

06/09/08

Well little Lacey continues her winning ways !! What a fantastic day for our small kennel today.... Quintavia Lacey our youngest show team member had a great day. She was 1st in the puppy class, Best Puppy In Breed, Best Of Breed, shortlisted in the adult gundog group, 1st in the puppy gundog group and then BEST PUPPY IN SHOW !! beautifully handled as always by Chelsea.

Well done Chelsea and Lacey....I am so proud of you both!

Many Thanks to judges Linda Cooper (breed judge ) and Graham Hill (group judge and best in show judge  ) and to those exhibitors who were so generous with their Congratulations.

Quintavia Stars In Her Eyes and Quintavia Star Stopper were also placed.

31/08/08

We had a fantastic day today at City of Birmingham Canine Association Championship Show! Quintavia Lacey was 1st in the minor puppy bitch class, Best Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy in Breed! I am thrilled for Chelsea and her little pup. Chelsea works so hard with the dogs, she handles them all so well and takes good care of them. Well done Chelsea and Lacey!

Photo shows Lacey and Best Puppy Dog, Sandy Platt's Charbonnel Swedish Design.

26/08/08

A great day showing today! Chelsea and Lacey had a lovely day...Little Lacey was placed 1st in the puppy class, then declared Best puppy In Breed and Reserve Best of Breed at her 2nd show ! Well done girls !

Poppy had a good day too being placed 1st in 3 classes which means she now has the last couple of points needed for me to claim her Junior Warrant title.

18/08/08

Apologies for the recent lack of updates....Our puppies have been taking up all of our time! They are all beautiful and so worth all of the hard work...

We have a dog puppy available....he has received his 1st vaccination and he is ready to leave home now. Please call 0121 247 5233 for further details.

16/08/08

One of our favourite shows today... Ashbourne Shire Horse Society.

Poppy had a better day today than last week...Today's judge awarded her 1st in all three of her classes! Sid was also first in his class Best Dog and Best Of Breed.

Chelsea's first home bred puppy Quintavia Lacey was placed 3rd in the puppy class! Lacey's 1st show. Well done Chel and Lacey.

Photo shows Sid and today's Best Puppy (Glowhill Cheeky Chic).

10/08/08

A lovely drive down to Brockenhurst today with Sid, Poppy and Ribbon in preparation for Bournemouth Championship show tomorrow.

After booking in to our hotel  we spent a lovely time walking the dog's at Emmerton Downs. We really enjoyed watching the wild ponies who graze happily at the road side, what a joy to see such magnificent creatures in such beautiful surroundings...

Showing was very mixed..Sid was placed 3rd in limit dog, and Poppy 5th in her class which was disappointing, considering she was so happy and showed so well, but that is showing for you ! Sometimes up and sometimes down !

Chelsea and I hope to visit the New Forest again soon without the pressure of dog showing so we can enjoy the beautiful surroundings with our lovely dog's.

03/08/08

Another championship show today at Malvern. It was lovely to see Natalie and Rob of Chapel Lane Arabians who came to find us round the dog rings. Nat and Rob were there for a championship horse show and we really appreciate then finding the time to come and see us.

A mixed day for the dogs....Ribbon was placed 3rd in her class, Poppy 5th but the star of the day was Siddy boy ( Quintavia Star Stopper ) who was 1st in the Limit dog class which I was thrilled with. Again I felt he was given fair consideration in the final line up....can't ask for more than that!

28/07/08

We travelled to Leeds today for a championship show. All of our dogs were placed, Arnie was 2nd with Chelsea handling him, and Poppy 3rd.

22/07/08

Not really news but I though I would share this photo pf Poppy playing in the garden. She looks like she is smiling !

14/07/08

Many congratulations to my friends Debbie and John Kelly who completed an 8 mile sponsored walk yesterday to raise funds for the Sarcoma Trust. They have raised a massive £537.00! Well Done to you both.

13/07/08

A busy day today as we attended the Cocker Spaniel Club Championship Show at Malvern. The weather was lovely for a change which was good news as Evesham and District Canine Society's open show was also taking place outside.

We had a great day at the Cocker Club show...Poppy was placed 2nd and 3rd in her classes. Chelsea and I were both showing our dog and bitch at the same time so I didn't get to see her handle Ribbon but I was over the moon to see her placed 2nd in Limit Bitch! This means Ribby will be allocated a stud book number and is qualified for Crufts for life! Well done Chelsea and Ribbon.

Seconds later Sid was placed 2nd in limit dog and he too will be allocated a stud book number too! So we had a really great day.

We attended Evesham's show and Poppy was placed 1st and 2nd in her classes.

Many Thanks to all Judges that have placed our dogs recently.

12/07/08

Another good day showing today at Tamworth And District Canine Society Open Show. Poppy did really well, she was placed 1st in all three of her classes and then beat Arnie ( Quintavia Time Lord ) and was declared Best of Breed. Arnie was 1st in his class and was Reserve Best of Breed.

Poppy was later placed 4th in the group.

09/07/08

Well after a short break from showing we attended an evening show last night at Newark. Fortunately the rain held off and we had a pleasant evening showing. Such a shame that the horrible weather spoils so many of our hobbies, but tonight we were lucky with the weather and the dogs were successful!

Poppy, Quintavia Stars In Her Eyes continues to do us proud... she is such a lovely dog to own. She was placed 1st in her 2 classes and declared Reserve Best Of Breed.

Quintavia Time Lord returned to the show ring after nearly a year away and was 1st in his class and he beat Poppy to Best Of Breed! Arnie will be shown over the summer handled by Chelsea.

Arnie is still the kennel clown here at Quintavia but he is so sweet natured and mischievous he has us all laughing at his antics. Stealing washing from the line is his latest trick!

07/07/08

Chloe recently presented us with a super litter of puppies, sired by SH CH Claramand Rock - N - Roll with Molkara JW.

We will have 1 or 2 dog puppies available from mid August.

06/07/08

Just had a phone call from my friend Jane. Her lovely girl Saffie has just delivered a lovely litter of 7 puppies sired by Quintavia Star Stopper. We are delighted to hear that the Chocolate Roan colour which we knew Sid was carrying has shown itself in Jane's litter! She has 2 Chocolate Roan, 1 Orange Roan and 4 Blue Roan puppies. Well done Saffie!

30/06/08

Apologies to our regular visitors for the recent lack of updates. We haven't attended any shows over the last few weeks due to family commitments and the arrival of new puppies. It's not been the easiest of times for us here... Chelsea and I would like to thank our friend's for their support.

Here is a photo of Patience from our Nancy and Shenmore Sunny Jim litter...what a pretty little girl she is! I certainly had to have Lot's of patience over the years waiting for an Orange Roan girl to arrive, and here she is...

Many Thanks to Jane and Andrew for allowing us to use the lovely Jimmy at stud.

We were showing yesterday at West Of England Cocker Open Show. The show team had a good day...Poppy was 2nd, Sid 1st and Ribbon 2nd.

We took Lacey for a day out and she took part in the puppy walk.... she really enjoyed herself and trotted around the ring like a little pro wagging her lovely tail with Chel handling her so well. Well done girls!

03/06/08

Quintavia Time Traveler and Charbonnel Do's N Dont's hip scores came back today, Roxy is 4 - 4 and Ace 5 - 6 which we are really pleased with.

Just received these photo's of Quintavia Star Stopper's latest litter of puppies bred by my friend Maxine and I thought I would share them...

24/05/08

No shows for us this weekend. We have had a lovely day playing with the dogs.

We managed to get a rare photo of Ringo, Quintavia Show Stopper! He may be 7 years old but rarely stands still long enough for us to get a decent photo.

As you can see he is still a beautiful dog, still in full coat and still siring lovely puppies with his happy temperament.

26/04/08

The weather was lovely today for our first general championship show of the year. I showed Quintavia Star Stopper and Quintavia Stars In Her Eyes and we all enjoyed our day out. Poppy was shortlisted but unplaced in a huge puppy class. Sid was second in his class to a lovely black dog who later went on to take the CC. Sid was then called in to challenge for the RCC. He moved really well and I am told looked super when stood. I felt that he was given fair consideration by the judge, for which I am most grateful for.

The photo's taken at the show were a little dark so I took this photo later at home.

21/04/08
