Not much news to report as I
have not been able to attend the shows that I entered due to
being extremely busy at home.
I did go to
visit a lovely litter of puppies yesterday sired by Quintavia
Quantum Leap, my sweet Gentle Man. They were lovely puppies...
all had beautiful heads and sweet expressions, and
happy, outgoing temperaments. Stan has a lot of good qualities
to offer the breed including his OptiGen clear eye status and a
long line of low hip scores and of course his sweet sound
temperament.............
Lindsey Reed had a lovely
day at LKA gaining a 3rd place with her Quintavia Show
Stopper son, Reemif Xtra Xtra, thus qualifying for Crufts
2007, well done to you both!
We hope to be out and
about soon as we too have a Show Stopper son that we are
looking forward to showing.
Merry
Christmas and a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year to
all of our friends and Quintavia Cocker owners. Tracey,
Chelsea and all at Quintavia xxx

We had a fantastic day at
Ashbourne Shire Horse society (canine section ) open show
today. The weather forecast was not good and when I woke at
4.30 am, the day ahead looked rather bleak. I was looking
forward to this show as it was Quintavia Time Lord, Arnie's
first show. I went back to bed but couldn't sleep so decided
to go and hope the weather would be kind....
Well I am glad we
decided to go, the weather was good all day apart from a
shower mid afternoon. There were 2 judges one for dogs and
one for bitches. Arnie was 2nd in his class, he moved like a
dream...his tail never stopped wagging, he did everything
that was asked of him and more! We received many lovely
comments about him from fellow exhibitors, so I was a proud
mom! Chloe and Betty were both first in their classes, Betty
was later declared Best Bitch and Chloe reserve best bitch.
Betty then had to challenge the best dog for Best of Breed.
After close examination by both judges Betty was declared
Best of Breed!
Quintavia Phoebe, who is
owned by David and Judith Marshe was 2nd in her class, so
the Quintavia's had a great day!

We had a lovely day out at Leek
and District Canine Society, the show is held in conjunction
with an Agricultural show. We took 3 dogs with us and we
are delighted to say all 3 were placed! Willow and Betty both
had 2nd and Chloe was first in her class and Best of Breed!
Unfortunately I twisted my foot doing a lap of honour after
receiving BOB and I was in so much pain mid afternoon I had to
come home so we didn't challenge for Best in Show. Many thanks
to the judge Coral Shapland (Deracor).

I received an email and these
photo's today from a lovely lady called Bonnie who has a Bryony/
Teddy pup called Rosie. Bonnie is hoping that Rosie will become a
registered PAT dog with
time. Looks like Rosie is making good progress...
The photo is of Rosie sitting
on the lap of a young man was taken at Kith and Kids. They're
a charity that supports kids and adults with physical and
learning difficulties who I do a lot of voluntary work with. They
have invited her to come and see the members once a term, which is
great news!!!

Rosie is very much loved by
Bonnie, I am really pleased they have found each other .

Fantastic news
from the States....
Wonderful News
The European FN Fund is thrilled to announce that
Dr. Keith Murphy, Dr. George Lees & Miss Ashley Davidson of A & M
University, have today revealed that they have found the Gene
Mutation responsible for FAMILIAL NEPHROPATHY.
This signals the start of a new era in the fight
against this killer disease, and gives us, the dedicated Cocker
Spaniel breeders of the world, an opportunity to clear affected
lines.
Our heartfelt thanks must go out to the dedicated
people who have worked so hard for so long on our behalf.
MORE DETAILS SOON………Sandy Platt. |

What fantastic day for us at
Cheshire Cocker Spaniel Club Open show today. Quintavia Enigma
(Charbonnel Roulette x Charbonnel Playtime at Quintavia) Chloe
wins Best In Show! Quintavia Quantum Leap, Stan was 2nd in his
class and my sweet, sweet girl Bryony won her class. Bryony hasn't
been to a show for over 2 years but she hadn't forgotten what to
do and thoroughly enjoyed her day out and went moved like a
youngster. Bryony,
Stan and Chloe are all Charbonnel Roulette kids, Chloe and Stan
from a Roulette and Playtime mating, this mating has worked so
well for us producing sound happy cockers with excellent
conformation and fantastic temperaments. Many Thanks to the judge
Mr R Taylor (Maundale).

Chelsea also had a good day.
She won her junior handling class and was Best junior handler in
show! Well done Chelsea.

I took this photo of Alice today,
she has matured well and is a lovely girl. Such a shame that she
is more often out of coat than she is in! Her coat is looking good
now and she was entered at a show a couple of weeks ago but she
came in season so that means she will be away from the ring for a
while again.

Neibh left
Quintavia today for her new home in Banbury. She has gone to live
with Jan and Michael and their two golden cockers Sammi and Skye
who she is getting along with great. We were a little sad to see
her go as she was the first puppy born in Peggy's last litter, we
are pleased she is with Jan as they have both bonded really well.

Many Thanks to the exhibitors for bringing their dogs under me.
Best Of Breed was a very lovely black dog, Adiaha Captain Cat JW.
Lovely headed dog with an eye catching outline who moved
beautifully. Best Puppy was Afterglow What's Up Doc, a gorgeous
